AR READING FOLDERS ( Book Trakker Pak)
Students should take Reading Folders & Novels with them to DEAR classroom. Students should take AR Folders with them to computer lab to take an AR Quiz. Students will need to record their score in the Folder. AR Quizzes may only be taken at school Students keep an AR Reading Folder that contains Reading Log, Bookmark, Signal Cards, Six Week Goals Sheet, Incentives Information Teachers check folders at least once each three weeks to monitor progress. Teacher Steps for Checking ReportsStep 1: Go to www.hsnature.org then scroll down for the AR Program button on the bottom left side of the
page. Step 2: On the Welcome to Renaissance Place Real Time page, click Teacher Step 3: Enter AR username& password Enter your user name and password and click Log In. Step 4: Click on Accelerated Reader or Star Reading/ Math, Then click on Reports Step 5: Click Summary or Individual Student depending on type of data you need Steps for Students taking an AR Quiz
Test Prep: Get your Reading folder, AR book, and a pencil to take with you to the Computer Lab Step 1: Go to www.hsnature.org then scroll down for the AR Program button on the bottom left side of the page. Step 3: Enter AR username& password Enter your user name and password and click Log In. 4: Under Accelerated Reader, click Take a Reading Quiz Step 5: Click Start.The program may ask for a Monitor password? Ask a Teacher Step 6: Enter Title of the book. Click on the title that matches your book. Step 7. Start taking your Quiz. Choose your answers carefully Step 8. When you are finished, fill out your AR Reading Chart with your date, score and points |
Steps for Taking a STAR Reading Test
Step 1: Go to www.hsnature.org then scroll down for the AR Program button on the bottom left side of the page. Step 2: On the Welcome to Renaissance Place Real Time page, click student. Step 3: Enter AR username & password Enter your user name and password and click Log In. Ask the teacher for help or:Click Find User Name.If the name of the school shown is not the name of your school, click change school now, click the name of your school and then click Next >.Type in all or part of your name and click Search.Click your name in the list that appears. If your name is not on the list, click < Back and try typing in all or part of your name again or ask your teacher for help.Click your name and your user name will be filled in for you. Type in your password and click Log In.Step 4: Under STAR Reading, click Take a Test. Go to Step 6.SSsSSSSSsSS Step 5: Click Start. Step 6.The program may ask for an authorization password? *If YES – ONLY a TEACHER can type in the code The teacher has to enter a password before you can begin taking the test. Once the password is entered, go to Step 7.Go to Step 7. Step 7: A practice test will begin. Answer the questions just like you would for the actual test: each question has four possible answers below it. Choose an answer by pressing the 1, 2, 3 or 4 keys on the keyboard. A blue circle will appear around the answer you choose. You can change your answer by pressing a different key. When you are satisfied with your answer, press Enter. A clock will flash on the screen when you are almost out of time to answer a question. ·If you pass the practice test, the actual test will begin--go to Step 8. · If you do not pass the practice test, the program will tell you to ask the teacher for help. Step 8: The actual test begins. Answer all the questions just like you did for the practice test. · If you see a flashing clock on the screen, you are almost out of time for the question you are working on. · The teacher cannot help you with the questions during the actual test. · The teacher can stop the test for you if necessary. Step 9: When you have finished the test, the program will tell you that the test is over. You are automatically logged out of the program. Good luck! STEP 2: Scroll down and click on Accelerated Reader STEP 3: Next Click on Class Record books STEP 4: Then click on Reading Practice goals STEP 5: If necessary click on 'Select Marking Period' STEP 6: Choose the Six weeks you need 1st, 2nd etc STEP 7: Click on Edit Student Goals STEP 8: Input the goals and book level using goal setting chart and STAR Reading data. REMEMBER TO click SAVE periodically or your work will be lost |
